Everything we build is engineered and installed to Florida Building Code high-wind requirements: footings sized for sandy soil and wind uplift, rated hurricane hardware on every connection, stainless or hot-dip galvanized fasteners for salt air, and proper flashing and drainage. Fiber cement is the most popular choice because it resists rot, termites, fire, and wind and holds paint far longer than wood in our humidity. High-wind-rated vinyl is a strong budget option, and engineered wood suits homeowners who want natural grain. We show you samples and give an honest recommendation.
Warning signs include warped, cracked, or loose panels, bubbling or peeling paint, visible mold, soft spots when you press the wall, rising energy bills, and moisture stains inside. We inspect for free and tell you whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
Composite and PVC perform best because they resist moisture, termites, and UV fading and never need staining. Pressure-treated pine is the budget option and lasts well when sealed regularly. Every deck we build uses coastal-rated hardware regardless of the decking.
Often, yes. If the framing and footings are sound, we replace the boards and railing with composite or PVC for a fraction of a rebuild. If the structure is compromised, we tell you and quote a replacement instead.
From a 20x30 workshop to 40x80 and larger, with wall heights from 10 to 16 feet or more for RV and boat storage. Enclosed, partially enclosed, or open, with slabs, insulation, and doors sized for your equipment. We also build barndominium shells.
Properly engineered ones can. Pole barns need posts set to engineered depth with uplift anchors, engineered trusses, and screw-fastened panels. Pergolas need footings sized for uplift, rated post bases, and through-bolted attachment. Most failures we see come from shallow posts and nailed connections, which we never use.
Powder-coated aluminum is the top performer because it will not rot, warp, or attract termites and needs almost no maintenance in salt air. Cedar and pressure-treated wood look beautiful but need sealing every couple of years. Motorized louvered systems add rain protection at a premium.
Sandy soil, a high water table, heavy rain, and tree roots move the ground under concrete poured without proper base compaction, reinforcement, or drainage. We excavate to stable soil, compact a proper base, reinforce every slab, cut control joints at the right spacing, and grade so water runs away.
Walk on it after 24 to 48 hours, park a passenger vehicle after about 7 days, and put heavy loads on it after 28 days at full strength. We give you a specific cure schedule based on the mix and weather.
Typical timelines once permits are approved: siding replacement one to two weeks, decks one to two weeks, pole barns one to two weeks to dry-in, pergolas two to five days, and concrete one to three days of forming and pouring plus prep. Your written proposal includes a firm schedule for your specific project.
