After Ivan, Sally, and every tropical system since, we’ve seen what happens to post-frame buildings that were set shallow and nailed together: the roof peels, the posts pull, and the whole thing racks. We’ve also seen the slow failures. Untreated or under-treated posts rot at grade in our wet, sandy soil. Termites find the cut ends. Thin-gauge panels dimple in hail and rust through in salt air. Nailed panels back out within a few seasons and start leaking.
Our buildings are engineered for the conditions we actually have. Posts are set to the depth the wind load requires, with concrete collars or uplift anchors, using UC4B ground-contact treated lumber or laminated columns. Trusses are engineered for your span and wind zone and tied to the posts with rated hardware. Purlins and girts are spaced to spec. Panels are 26- or 29-gauge Galvalume with screw fasteners and closure strips, and every building gets proper drainage away from the posts. Then it’s inspected and permitted, so the structure is documented for your insurance and any future sale.
